This year one of London’s most iconic landmarks, offered visitors a fantastic Valentine’s day experience! Amongst other great options, couple’s could steal a few moments alone enjoying a ‘Cupid’s Capsule’ where guests had their very own personal host to serve them delicious chocolates and a bottle of Pommery Champagne! The Vernon Sisters walked amongst the couples, singing romantic love songs a cappella, such as Edith Piaf’s ‘La Vie En Rose’ and ‘Volare’ from Dean Martin. The ladies were very well received and the evening was a great success
HBO recently held the DVD launch event for ‘The Pacific’ on a glorious day on board the magnificent HMS Belfast. The popular mini-series, produced, amongst others, by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, tells the intertwined stories of three Marines during America's battle with the Japanese in the Pacific during World War II. The event was attended by the cast members including the lead actors Jon Seda (John Basilone), Joe Mazzello (Eugene Sledge) and James Badge Dale (Robert Leckie) as well as some of the crew that helped make this epic series come to life. As well as entertainment by The Vernon Sisters there were jitter bug dancers on deck, along with ‘U.S. Marines’ playing hoopla and other 1940’s games.
Book Launch in Portugal for Sr. Andre Jordan![]()
The Vernon Sisters recently enjoyed the fabulous hospitality of Sr. Andre Jordan, the man who transformed Portugal’s Algarve into the region as we know it today. The glamorous event was to launch the release of his book ‘Celebrating Environments – The World Of Andre Jordan.’ It was held at his beautiful Golf Club – Belas Clube De Campo, situated between the towns of Belas and Vale De Lobo, a short drive from Lisbon.
The Farnborough International Airshow
The FIA is one of the world’s most iconic global aviation events. This year the Welcome Reception, one of the most prestigious of its kind, was held at the elegant Natural History Museum in London. The vast frame of the Diplodocus skeleton which dominates the Central Hall, provided an impressive backdrop for the attendees, which included key industry senior level figures, international delegations and exhibitors.
The Vernon Sisters charmed the guests with their Mai Tai and Pink Champagne productions, providing the perfect atmosphere for relaxing and networking.
Terrapinn event at The gherkin![]()
Terrapinn recently held one of their fabulous events at 30 St Mary Axe – The Gherkin, as most people call it due to its striking architectural design. Designed by word re-knowned Norman Foster and Partners it is one of London’s most unique and prestigious landmarks since it opened in May 2004.
The view from the glass dome at the top of the building is breathtaking and was The Vernon Sisters’ backdrop for the performance! The champagne flowed as guests were serenaded by the sisters at these dizzy heights….another successful evening!
